GARDENING OPPORTUNITIES

Grown for the community, by the community

All produce grown at the GreenSpace is available to the public to harvest throughout the season - free of charge! Pick some herbs for your dinner, have your children pick cherry tomatoes to eat as a snack.

Thanks to the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation, we now have plant signs that identify each vegetable and state how to harvest it properly.

At its core, the Fassett GreenSpace exists as an intricate yet functional community garden. It is an outdoor space where children and community members can take part in organic growing, learn about environmental sustainability, and create a stronger connection to Wellsville. This project creates the opportunity for villagers to sow the seeds of herbs, flowers, and vegetables while growing community and creativity.

While the board usually drafts the crop plans and purchases seedlings for the garden, we are always open to your input! If you would like to be involved in the gardening process or would like us to plant a specific variety for you, please contact us. If you would like to host an event about gardening, please find more information on the Host a Program page.
